What successes does Exped have in sleeping bag development?

With the so-called mantle sleeping bag, Exped achieved another milestone in the field of sleeping bag development in 1998. The mantle sleeping bag is a special mummy sleeping bag that can be worn on the body like a jumpsuit. Such a kind of "clothing sleeping bag" was an absolute novelty on the sleeping bag market at that time. In addition, a short time later Exped developed the world's first waterproof sleeping bags. The so-called WB down sleeping bags were the first sleeping bags to feature waterproof welding instead of stitching. In addition, all Exped down sleeping bags have in the meantime a condensation brake on hood and in the foot compartment and thus ensure dry and toasty warm nights.

What is the difference between the sleeping mat types SynMat and DownMat?

In 2002/2003, the first Exped DownMat immediately won the European Outdoor Award. The special feature of the Exped SynMat, MegaMat and DownMat sleeping mat models is the unparalleled sleeping comfort as well as an ultra small and lightweight pack size. Exped's DownMat is perfect for punishing expedition missions due to its excellent thermal insulation, while the SynMat models are the optimal sleeping pad for trekking tours and outdoor ventures.
