In 1928, the Italian shoemaker Narcisio Delladio began to manufacture robust leather boots for lumberjacks, farmers and forest workers under the name "Calzoleria La Sportiva". After World War II, the demand for these high-quality mountain boots increased rapidly and La Sportiva steadily expanded its range over the next decades. Today, the Italian shoe manufacturer has - in addition to the classic mountain shoes - also approach shoes, trail running shoes and climbing shoes in their program.
