The premium, lightweight yet durable, contoured-fit W Dirt Roamer Bike Shorts by PATAGONIA are made with highly breathable, superstretchy fabric and were built to pair with our Endless Ride Liner Shorts (sold separately) by PATAGONIA.
The lightweight, durable, extremely breathable W Dirt Roamer Bike Shorts by PATAGONIA keep up on the long ride. The clean, minimalist aesthetic and uninhibited stretch of these outer shorts (liner not included) means you’ll barely know they’re there. Articulated, sonically welded seams eliminate chafing and allow fluid movement, complementing the high-performance recycled polyester/elastane fabric with a DWR (durable water repellent) finish.
The curved waistband contours to the hips, and our mountain bike-specific OppoSet® adjustable waist, along with elastic in back, customizes the fit. An 11.75" inseam covers the tops of the knees and accommodates low-profile knee pads. Interior snap loops mate with the Endless Ride Liner Shorts or the liners from our Dirt Craft Bike Shorts. The shorts also features a single zippered pocket on the left thigh.

Water Resistant
DWR (durable water repellent) fabric finish repels light rain and snow and decreases dry times. When DWR is used in conjunction with a waterproof/breathable barrier, the DWR finish keeps the outer fabric from becoming saturated so that the breathable barrier can do its job.
Recycled Polyester
In 1993, PATAGONIA adopted fleece into the product line made from post consumer recycled (PCR) plastic soda bottles. PATAGONIA was the first outdoor clothing manufacturer to do so. PCR™ clothing was a positive step towards a more sustainable system – one that uses fewer resources, discards less and better protects people’s health.
Today, PATAGONIA is able to utilize more sources for recycled polyester and offer it on more garments such as Capilene® baselayers, shell jackets, board shorts, and fleece. PATAGONIA now recycle used soda bottles, unusable manufacturing waste, and worn out garments (including our own) into polyester fibers to produce many of our clothes.
Using recycled polyester lessens the dependence on petroleum as a raw material source, curbs discards and reduces toxic emissions from incinerators.
