An extremely robust, insulated and comfortable boot for high-alpine mountaineering with a perfect, custom fit: The Omega by HANWAG is equally at home on both rock and ice.
The robust Omega by HANWAG is made for high altitude tours within the alpine area. It is fully crampion compatible and its cemented construction makes it easy to resole. The Vibram sole itself is highly resistable and will last for years.
- Customizable volume adaptation: A section of the tongue can be removed to allow more space; supplied with an additional set of footbeds to reduce the volume as required
- Shock Absorb: additional shock absorber in the heel
- Easy Roller: smooth ball bearing lacing system
- Reduced Seams: fewer seams reduce the risk of rubbing and pressure points
- Designed for high-alpine mountaineering in extreme terrain and for ice climbing. Ideal for demanding glaciers, ice and firn.
- Additional insulation in the upper and the sole unit.
- An all-round rubber rand, handcrafted around the lower part of the upper. It protects the leather from scree and rocks and significantly increases the boot’s stability and durability.
- Fewer seams reduce the risk of rubbing and pressure points. HANWAG uses a special technique, which makes it possible to reduce the number of seams. It might sound simple, but it involves very complex craftsmanship
- Fully crampon compatible sole construction. Suitable for automatic step-in crampons (also called rigid step-in/ clip-on/ automatic crampons) for serious mountaineering and ice climbing.
- Thanks to their cemented construction the HANWAG boots and shoes can be resoled as many times as required.
- Special clamping eyelets enable different lacing tensions at the fore-/mid foot and around the ankle (2-zone lacing).
- High, protective rubber rand
- Vibram® sole with greater toe spring to allow the foot to roll effectively. Named after the Italian “Vitale Bramani”. Vibram is probably the world’s best known manufacturer of high-end sole units.
- Graded memory insole for superior shape retention always returns to its original form
- Click Clamps (clamping lace rings) for two-zone lacing: enables different lacing tensions, e.g. tighter at the fore-/mid foot and looser around the ankle during mountain ascents

Because of the relatively small factory inventories at outdoor clothing collections, we can not guarantee for constant availability of all parts of our online collection. You can contact us via email or phone before your order to ask us about the current availability. In case of delivery delays we will inform you via e-mail, fax or telephone. For bulky goods we calculate the actual costs as surcharge fee for each product. Bulky goods can be recognized by an additional labeling in the product selection, indicating a shipping rate in the prefix, which will be added as an additional charge for the product in the cart. You never pay more than indicated in your shopping cart. Partial delivery causes no additional costs within EU countries and Switzerland; please enter a phone number where you are reachable during the day.
Orders are shipped only when all previous deliveries already have been paid.
